There’s lots happening at Cairngorm Mountain this Autumn/Winter

We’ve been exceptionally busy behind the scenes making major improvements to Cairngorm Mountain products and services for this Autumn/Winter Season. We’re delighted to share with you a preview of what’s happening.

New Car Park

Our car park is undergoing a major overhaul to provide a much warmer welcome and experience for all our visitors. You’ll find clearly marked parking bays, pedestrian pathways to walks, improved signage to let you find your way around the resort, incredible viewpoints together with benches and green space.

We are finalising the new car park space in stages so there will always be parking spaces for you, whenever you visit us.

Mountain Railway Re-Launch

A hugely complex programme of engineering has been ongoing for some time to strengthen the funicular railway. Significant progress has been made and the railway is on schedule to re-open during this winter season.

We’re also investing in new magic carpets which will be installed at the start of the snowsports season to make it easier to reach the learners slopes.

The New Ptarmigan on the Summit

There has been significant investment made to transform the Ptarmigan restaurant and bar at the summit. With a major new facelift to the restaurant and bar we have created a light and contemporary space with a larger bar, log fire, floor to ceiling windows and comfy seating.

The New Interactive Exhibition

The investment to The Ptarmigan doesn’t stop at the restaurant and bar. We’re installing a state of the art interactive exhibition too great for all ages.
