We’re an all year round mountain resort with unique experiences in the Scottish Highlands including Scotland’s only mountain railway taking customers to over 1,000 metres above sea level.

Viewpoints
The drive up to Cairngorm Mountain will delight your guests with stunning views down towards Loch Morlich and beyond at over 600 metres above sea level as you arrive in our car park.
Visitors can enjoy a seat on one of our benches with uninterrupted views and immerse themselves in the mountain landscape before or after their visitor experience.
You may even spot some of our local neighbours including Britain’s only free roaming reindeer herd.
The Mountain Railway
Cairngorm Mountain Railway is Scotland’s only funicular railway and a unique experience in the UK. It transports visitors up to the UK’s highest restaurant at 1,097 metres above sea level.
Once at the restaurant there’s also a gin bar, exhibition and film together with gift shop and extensive viewing terrace.
The railway is currently out of service but is anticipated to return early in 2025 and you can contact us to make a booking now.
Food and Drink
You’ll find a choice of places to eat and drink at Cairngorm Mountain. At car park level you’ll find the Cairngorm Café, a large café perfect for medium to large groups with a terrace overlooking the mountains. There’s also a smaller bar perfect for intimate groups and gin tasting.
The Ptarmigan restaurant is located at the Top Station reached by the mountain railway which offers outstanding views, seasonal dishes and a local gin bar.
The Mountain Garden StoryWalk
Visit the tranquil garden, a vibrant environment that is a reflection of the wild mountain landscape. Your experienced guide will take you on a gentle walk providing insights into the habitants, flora and fauna that thrive here. You’ll then visit the Coire Cas Viewpoint and wildlife hide and capture stunning views.
To complete your experience you’ll have the opportunity to taste the award-winning Cairngorm Gin, rich with local botanicals found in the Mountain Garden.

Guided Walks
We also offer a selection of guided walks from short, gentle discoveries to longer hikes depending on ability.
Explore the mountain landscape and immerse yourself in nature led by an experienced guide providing an insight into the history of the mountain and it’s habitants, flora and fauna. Led at a gentle pace this allows guests to stop and take in the views.

Active Adventures
Experience unique activities at Cairngorm Mountain from mountain biking trails to tubing slides.
Our tubing slides are great fun for all ages and the bike trails provide a great experience for beginners through to advanced riders.
You’ll also find our new mountain carting which launched in 2024 providing an exhilarating ride down the mountain side.
