Cairngorm Mountain Resort Accessibility

The Cairngorm Mountain resort is situated at 635m above sea level and can be accessed by car, making it one of the most accessible mountain environments in the country. We strive to accommodate visitors of all abilities and almost all of our facilities are accessible for wheelchairs or individuals with impairments and disabilities.

Car Parking & Arrival

Accessible parking is available at the top of the main car park, just a short distance from the main Day Lodge building where you will find the Mountain Shop, Cairngorm Cafe and Cas Bar.

There are 6 disabled parking bays that can be found at the top of the car park on the left-hand side, just below the Snow-Factory, from here it is approximately 50m to the Day Lodge entrance. Please feel free to call ahead if you require additional assistance and a member of our team will be able to greet you on arrival. Day Lodge Entrance

Access to the Buildings

Both our Day Lodge and Base Station have accessibility for wheelchair users or individuals with walking impairments visiting the Mountain Shop, Cairngorm Cafe and using the toilets.

The Day Lodge is a four story building erected in 1985, only levels 1 and 2 are accessible but you will find everything you may require on these floors. For use of accessible toilets, we suggest visitors use the Base Station. Entrance to these toilets is clearly sign posted through the lower doors to the left of the Day Lodge building.

Adaptive Snowsports

Adaptive Snowsports

We have accommodated adaptive snowsports at Cairngorm Mountain for many years, working with Disability Snowsport UK to get people of all abilities out on the slopes.

The DSUK office is on the ground floor of the Day Lodge and can be accessed via the ramp on the right hand side of the building. We are pleased to continue to assist with the excellent work they are doing both at Cairngorm Mountain and further afield.
