Car Parking at Cairngorm Mountain
At 635m high, Cairngorm Mountain is one of the easiest and most popular access points into the Cairngorms National Park. We operate three car parks within the resort, for an average of 220,000 visitors a year.
Coire Cas Car Park
The main car parking area for visitors to Cairngorm Mountain is at the base of Coire Cas with space for over 400 cars including accessible, and coach specific parking areas. From here it is a short walk to our facilities and onto the slopes. There is a second overflow car park next to the main car park (the lower car park).
Car Parking Charges Spring -Autumn 2024
Our car parking payment system is in operation in our main car park at Cairngorm Mountain from mid April to end of October. During this time of year all day parking per vehicle is £3.00.
Payment is taken by contactless card or coins on exit at the barrier.
We do not charge for parking for Blue Badge holders.
For Blue Badge holders wishing to visit us, please enquire at our mountain shop or contact any member of staff.
Parking over the winter season is free. Income received will help offset the significant cost of a new upgrading of the main car park, currently nearing completion. During the winter season you can provide a donation and you’ll find donation boxes around the car park and you can also donate in The Mountain Shop.
Parking is on a first come first serve basis, and we cannot guarantee there will be spaces especially during peak times. Please ensure you arrive early to avoid disappointment, once full we will operate a 1 in, 1 out policy. We ask that during the winter months all hillwalkers and climbers accessing the Northern Corries path to use the lower level parking to allow for our snowsports customers space in the upper level.
Coire na Ciste Car Park
Parking is also available at Coire na Ciste. Once a key access point to the more technical snowsports terrain at Cairngorm Mountain this is now a common parking location for mountaineers throughout the year as well as a popular stopover site for campervan and motorhome users.
In the winter it is utilised as overflow parking with a shuttle bus operating to get visitors up to the slopes during peak times.
