Management Update | Festive Snowsports

December 28th, 2021.

The snowsports season is well underway here at Cairngorm Mountain with our lower beginner zone now open daily from 9.30AM-3.30PM.

Though it was looking hopeful for us to open more terrain after some early winter storms, there has been minimal natural snowfall over the last few weeks with milder temperatures than expected. This means that currently, using our technical snow making infrastructure, we are offering only a small area at the base of the resort for snow school lessons with limited availability for public snowsports. However, Season Pass holders are welcome at any time and do not have to book in advance.

Our Adventure Play & Tubing Park is open up to and including New Year’s Eve for those looking for some family fun off the slopes. The Cairngorm Café, Cas Bar and Mountain Shop are also open daily from 9AM-4PM throughout the festive period.

We anticipate a busy few weeks here at the resort as visitors look to enjoy the holiday season. We ask that you all be respectful towards each other, and members of our staff whilst we operate with reduced capacity. Consider eating early or late to avoid peak times and minimise crowding inside our facilities.

Please adhere to our COVID security procedures, such as one-way systems in the buildings and wearing of face coverings when indoors. It is important that all customers check in via the NHS Test and Protect app and we ask that before visiting, you are familiar with the current Scottish Government guidance. If you are unsure of our procedures, please ask a member of our friendly team who will be more than happy to help.
