News from the Slopes

Lot’s of festive snowy fun at Cairngorm Mountain today with lots of people getting their first taste of snowsports and enjoying a play outside the Ptarmigan Top Station.

At the top, the team have prepared the Polar Express Poma and Learners Slope which we will aim to open tomorrow along with the Snowbadgers Beginners Area at the Base Station. Work will continue to move snow around, there could even be the chance of the Ptarmigan T-Bar opening in the afternoon – we will keep you posted as things progress.

The forecast is for milder temperatures at the Base Station, +4°c with SE winds 20-30mph. Staying around freezing at the Top Station with SE 40-45mph winds. It looks like there is a decent spell of calmer weather from Tuesday.

Our floodlit snowsports sessions are proving popular and will continue this week – that means some after school skiing and snowboarding for local kids! A reminder these sessions are from 3:30pm – 5pm.

As usual, the Mountain Railway will be running from 10am. Last train up at 3:30pm, last train down 4:30pm.
