With the thaw freeze cycle, and todays wind, there are areas on the runs which have become pretty hard and icy. Please go with caution and heed the warning signs.
THE RUNS BETWEEN THE MID STATION AND THE TOP OF THE LOWER BEGINNERS AREA HAVE BECOME VERY ICY AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS OR LOWER INTERMMEDIATES. The snow is a lot nicer on the upper mountain and on the beginner areas.
Later in the week there are high winds expected on Wednesday and Thursday along with further snowfall. This is likely to disrupt our operations, so keep a close eye on our reports nearer the time.
Longer range forecasts are suggesting suggesting it to be cold and snowy for the next two weeks!!
Snow Level: 500m
On busy days we can reach full capacity and may be unable to sell Lift Passes on arrival. We recommend only travelling if you’re comfortable with the possibility that you may not be able to ski or snowboard.
We cannot guarantee parking, even for pre-booked customers so please arrive early, consider car sharing or take the Stagecoach bus from Aviemore. On weekends and certain midweek days, there will be shuttle busses running from the Ciste car park from 9am.
Just a reminder that there are ski touring tickets available which gives you uplift on two surface lifts to get to the top station. These are only available form the ticket office, and does not include the Mountain Railway
During the winter season, and especially on weekends, our equipment rental facility will be very busy, with wait times often exceeding an hour. At present, we are only offering helmets as part of our main rental packages.
Multi-day passes are not available at the moment. Due to the changing conditions, we will release tickets only a short time in advance. If the weather is more settled, then this may change. During this busy time, we may not be able to respond to messages, comments, and email enquiries and suggest following updates on our Mountain Report.
