Thank you for choosing to join us for what is hoped to be an excellent snowsports season at Cairngorm Mountain. Here is your essential guide to the winter season. See you on the slopes!
Arrive early to ensure you can find a space in the upper car park, car parking is on a first-come first-serve basis and once our car parks are full we cannot accommodate anyone else. Please car share if possible or hop on the regular Aviemore Adventurer 30 bus that runs from Aviemore to our front door. For further information on bus times head to the Stagecoach website.
Don’t forget to pick up your pocket sized fold out piste map when you arrive from our ticket office.
Check our website and social media for up-to-date weather conditions, snow and road reports and our online webcams of the ski area.
Reserve your equipment online before your visit to help you save time. Please note your height, weight and shoe size in advance. Equipment hire will be available ahead of the opening of the snowsports season on our website. You can also check in for equipment rental on arrival too. To find our equipment rental follow the left hand side hill from the day lodge which is signposted. All pre-booked rental equipment and passes purchased through our rental booking system can be collected at the same time.
Consider eating early or later to avoid queues in our cafes and restaurant.
Keep your season pass on the left of your body and not in a pocket shared with any other cards or with a mobile phone. The keycard has an electronic chip in them, which will allow customers to pass through the scanner at entry points to uplift on the mountain.
Please be aware that there are no ATM’s on site but we do accept card or cash payments in our cafes, restaurants and shops. We don’t accept AMEX.
Take a look at the conduct rules for skiers and snowboarders so you are up to speed before your first visit this season.

My favourite run on CairnGorm kind of depends on the snow conditions, but one of my favourite runs is the East Wall of Coire Na Ciste…
The gradient is perfect for fast, smooth turns on skis or a snowboard and if you are lucky enough to have some fresh new snow then this run is up there as one of the great off-piste runs out there!
I remember the first time I went down the East Wall in fresh snow, I was only a little girl and was following my dad. The snow was cold and powdery and there were snow sparkles in the air. My dad told me they were from the snow fairies and from that day on I was hooked on the steep and deep!
So get yourself out to the East Wall and see if you can find some snow fairies – see you there!”
