The Cairngorms National Park is an excellent outdoor classroom and can be studied across the curriculum from biology and geography to art, history and even music.
A variety of educational resources have already been produced to support outdoor learning in the Cairngorms National Park with outdoor learning seen as a key approach to delivering the Curriculum for Excellence.
Pupils and students of all ages can participate in a wide range of curriculum based activities providing many learning outcomes:
Tailored presentations on environmental and other topics.
Practical work in the natural outdoor environment of the hill.
Discover the camera obscura in the the mountain garden.
Journey on the funicular railway to visit the viewing terrace and interpretive mountain exhibition.

Group rate starting at £30 per group for presentations
Funicular (primary and secondary school rate) £6.80 per person
Free admission to camera obscura and mountain garden
No limit on group size
Week days only (weekend may be available upon request)
During snowsports season Rangers presentations can only be given between 10am to 12noon.
During snowsports season you will be given access outside to the mountain from the Ptarmigan Building and may be given an opportunity to chat to the ski patrol
