Our Santa’s Grotto experience is now sold out for both dates but don’t worry, the festive spirit will still be strong throughout the weekend if you still want to visit.
This season, come and join us at Cairngorm Mountain for two magical days of festive fun with a special visit from Santa himself.
On the lead-up to Christmas, Santa Claus will be taking time out from his busy schedule to visit the mountain — and he’s even bringing some of his real-life reindeer with him! Each day promises unforgettable family memories, heartwarming moments, and the spirit of Christmas in the Cairngorms.
Our Santa’s Grotto experience has now sold out for both dates.
The festive spirit will still be strong around the resort for the full weekend should you still wish to visit and have a play in the snow.
Santa’s Grotto at Cairngorm Mountain will be open on Sunday 30 November and Sunday 7 December 2025. The cosy Cas Bar will be transformed into Santa’s Highland home. Inside, children can meet Santa himself, hear about his adventures across the Cairngorms, share their Christmas wishes, and receive a special festive gift to take home.
After your visit with Santa, cosy up in the café for a delicious hot chocolate, mulled juice, and an array of festive treats available from the Cairngorm Café. That’s not all, the festive spirit will be spread across the mountain with lots of Christmas activity for the family to enjoy.
Step outside to find Santa’s sleigh and some of the famous Cairngorm Reindeer, who’ll be resting nearby before their big Christmas journey. There will be an opportunity to take photos and learn about these gentle creatures that call the Highlands home.
A day of festive fun wouldn’t be complete without snow and we are delighted to let you know that we will have a guaranteed snow patch in front of the Day Lodge for children to play on. There might even be snowsports activities on offer including “riglet” snowboards for wee ones to try free of charge!
It wouldn’t be a visit to Cairngorm Mountain without a journey on Scotland’s only Mountain Railway. Children coming to Santa’s Grotto can enjoy a complimentary trip on the Funicular (with a paying Adult). There’s no need to book in advance as we will have lots of availability for the Mountain Railway.
