We’re excited to be teaming up with The Snowboard Asylum to bring a Snowboard Demo Day to Cairngorm Mountain on 31 January 2026.
Demo days are the best way to find the right setup, and this event gives riders the opportunity to test the latest snowboards from Amplid, Bataleon, Burton, Jones, Ride, Salomon, Signal, and Yes, all in real mountain conditions. They’ll also have the latest Supermatic and Fase binding systems available to try, making this a great chance to experience some of the newest innovations in snowboard gear.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your current setup, compare different board shapes and flex patterns, or simply get a feel for what’s new this season, the demo day is open to riders of all abilities. The knowledgeable team from The Snowboard Asylum and the brand representatives will be on hand throughout the day to offer advice, answer questions, and help you choose equipment that suits your riding style and the Cairngorm terrain.
Drop by, take a board out for a test run and provide some feedback via our team on the ground and you will be with a chance of winning a £100 Activity Gift Card.
A run of recent storms and strong winds has been doing us a few favours, redistributing snow across the mountain and filling in many of the middle-mountain runs nicely. While the weather still has a slightly unsettled feel, the forecast is pointing in the right direction and we’re optimistic about getting open.
As always in the mountains, flexibility is key and whilst we’d hoped to have the demo area based at the Ptarmigan top station. To make sure everyone has a good experience we’ve dropped the location down to the Base Station, outside the front of the Day Lodge.
The Day Lodge, located at the top of the car park, is home to all our main facilities. The Demo Centre will be set up out front for easy access and shelter from the wind. Toilets, the Cas Bar, and Cairngorm Cafe can be found inside the building so there’s everything you need.
From here, head out onto the Beginners Area to get your set up dialled in then jump on the Car Park T-Bar for access to the mid-mountain.
It’s not all about testing boards – for anyone keen to get creative, we’ll be setting up some freestyle features on the lower mountain for shredding all day long.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on conditions and will share updates as we get closer to Saturday, so keep an eye out for the final call. See you on the hill.
