The Trails
Two 100m conveyors will take riders to the top of the Lower Zone, where riders can effortlessly access the green and lower blue trails, and enjoy the thrill of the downward descent. For those more experienced riders, the purpose built climb trails will take riders to the top of the upper blue and red trails.
Trails For All Abilities
Our Bike Park has been designed for beginner to advanced level riders, offering a range of flow style mountain biking trails.

The Bike Park has three grades of flow trails; Green, Blue & Red:
The green trails have been designed for beginners and younger children.

For those more experienced at mountain biking, the red trails will provide the ultimate thrill of advanced flow trails.
Explore More Cycling In The Cairngorms
The Cairngorms National Park is the largest in the UK and provides a stunning backdrop for cycling. If you’d like to explore more cycling routes outside of Cairngorm Mountain Bike Park you’ll find routes through ancient forests that are home to some of the most endangered species in the UK. The routes have been specifically designed to enable you to enjoy this special place, its nature and its hospitality, whilst taking care to protect everything that makes it so special.
Here are a few of the most common questions we are asked. If your question is not answered here please feel free to contact us.
Can I bring my own bike?
Yes, provided your bike is well maintained, with functioning brakes, and suitable for the chosen trails. You can also hire our bikes.
Is the bike park open in all weather conditions?
Our bike patrollers will inspect the trails and weather conditions throughout the day, and will determine if the bike park is safe to open.
Can I bring my dog in the bike park?
No. Due to the safety of all riders we do not allow dogs in the bike park.
Can I use a child's bike seat or trailer?
None of the bike trails are suitable for bike trailers or any child bike seat. Only mountain bikes can be used on the trails.
Is the bike park suitable for wheelchair users?
The trails are not suitable for wheelchair users as they are gravity style mountain biking trails. We are however, reviewing the suitability of the trails for different types of adaptive bikes. We will update on this in due course. Currently we can only allow for mountain bikes.
Is the bike park suitable for adaptive bikes?
We are currently reviewing the suitability of the trails for the use of different types of adaptive bikes. We will update on this in due course. Currently we can only allow for mountain bikes.
What is the minimum age to use the bike park?
We recommend a minimum of 4 years old as there is a requirement for the user to use a brake appropriately to control their speed. This is necessary due to the gradient of the trails.
Why are there charges to use the bike park?
To ensure the safety and enjoyment for all users, CMSL operate the Bike Park a managed facility and therefore during operating hours access rights are not exercisable. To access the Bike Park, please purchase a ticket from the Ticket Office in the Base Station, or online at cairngormmountain.co.uk. The revenue from the park is used to pay for the cost of the services provided which include trail maintenance, staff and first aid assistance. For further information on access rights, please contact the Cairngorms National Park Authority.
Book a stay in our Motorhome site open from May to October with spectacular views of the Cairngorms.
