Insight into the work of the Cairngorm Mountain Ranger Service

The Cairngorm Mountain Ranger Service is deployed and funded by Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Limited to provide stewardship and care of the Cairngorm Estate on behalf of Highlands and Islands Enterprise. Operating from the Ranger Base at the foot of the resort the Ranger Service advises on the use and care of the estate.

Throughout the seasons, the Mountain Rangers carry out a variety of duties across the estate from visitor monitoring, to landscaping and path maintenance, leading our guided activities, and providing educational talks to school groups and university students – this work is integral to guiding the sustainable development of Cairngorm Mountain.

We want to document all of this activity and share insight from the Rangers themselves with our followers across the world. So, starting this summer we will be releasing regular “Ranger Reports” which you can find right here on our website.

What Can I Expect To Find?

Ranger Reports will include everything from quick updates, to photo galleries, educational information, insight from the Rangers themselves, and video diaries from days out on the mountain.
