The Adventure Ball Runs at Cairngorm Mountain are the highlight of our outdoor adventure play areas. The experience begins with a series of fun questions that you have to get right to get your ball back! Then watch your ball snake through the ball runs in the Mountain Garden before reaching the finish line! It’s a great activity for all ages.
The Adventure Ball Runs provide hours of fun and are the perfect activity for families with toddlers and young children. They are located at the base of the resort and are all easily accessible from the main car park.
Once you have purchased your wooden ball you are welcome to come back and play any time!

Begin the adventure ball run experience with Rhona the Reindeer at the Camera Obscura in the Mountain Garden.
Here, Rhona will ask you 7 fun questions which you must get correct to get your ball to the finish point! Children age 14 or under must be supervised by an adult (and to assist reaching the ball holes).
Next in our Adventure Ball Run family is Fergus the Frog. Have fun watching your ball snake through the ball run in the Mountain Garden.
When you purchase your wooden ball you’ll also receive a fun quiz to complete with some questions from Fergus which you’ll find answers to in the garden. Children age 14 or under must be supervised by an adult.
Enjoy panoramic views from over 600 meters above sea level in our final Ball Runs, Heather & Hamish the Mountain Hare twins!
Watch as you ball twists and turns it’s way down Heather’s ball track and then have a go at her brother Hamish’s final ball run. Children age 14 or under must be supervised by an adult.
