CairnGorm Mountain Ltd allows funicular passengers exit the Ptarmigan Top Station at the attraction to take part in carefully managed guided walks. The walks aim to engage visitors with the landscape of the Cairngorms and enhance their experience of this significant mountain landscape in the heart of the National Park. Participants agree to follow the instruction of the walks guide and remain with the party at all times. For the Essential Summit Walk all participants must return to car park level using the Funicular Railway.
Participants must be able to walk steadily for 90 minutes with several breaks.
Any medical conditions should be declared at point of booking.
The Walk @ the top is suitable for children aged 6 years and over. We also recognise that some children under this age are able to walk for 90 minutes with several breaks. Toddler & babies in backpacks may also participate as long as weather conditions are deemed suitable by the guide. The footpath conditions are not suitable for strollers, buggies or wheelchairs.

Suitable mountain footwear (walking boots preferable but trail shoes are acceptable). Waterproof outer clothing and a hat should also be carried. Wellingtons and gym shoes are not deemed suitable footwear.
The weather can change quickly on the mountain. Conditions are assessed on a regular basis. Where possible we will try to notify participants 2 hours in advance if the walk is not taking place or if the weather is not suitable for children (this will be done by mobile phone). In the event of unsuitable weather at the top of the mountain, an alternative lower level route will be offered to participants or the opportunity to transfer to another walk day. In the event of participants being unable to participate in any of the offered alternatives a refund will be offered on the guided walk element of the activity. Please note that the decision to proceed with the walk rests with guides employed by CML. If you have pre-booked a walk and do not participate a full charge will be made for the activity.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of the advertised walk time either by telephone (01479861261) or by email (email@example.com) otherwise a full charge will be payable.

All train tickets are non-refundable.
The Company reserves the right to change prices and services at any time and without notification.
The Company retains the right to close the facilities at any time, for any reason.

The ticket entitles the holder use of the funicular railway to unlimited return journeys to the Top Station on day of purchase.
