Front of House Shift Leader

Reports to: Senior Management Team
Location: Cairngorm Mountain


Role Overview

Purpose of job

We are seeking to appoint a Front of House Shift Leader, this role is primarily to lead the Front of House team in the F&B section, therefore supervisor experience in a café or restaurant environment would be an advantage. We will have 2 café areas open throughout the winter season and the newly refurbished Ptarmigan restaurant will open later in the season. This is an opportunity for someone to develop their career in a fast moving and busy ski area and all year round visitor attraction.

Own transport desirable.

This is a new position, which will be a permanent role, with a wage of £11.00 per hour.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Fully customer focused to ensure that service levels are high at all times.
  • Work with and manage all aspects of your team.
  • Undertake administration work as required.
  • Experienced in cash handling, and processing Card and Cash payments.
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained and new orders placed in a timely manner.
  • The provision of hospitality, food and beverage services to Cairngorm Mountain customers.
  • Experience in working within a busy environment.
  • Being attentive to the needs of the customer.
  • Observing a high standard of cleanliness front and back of house in-keeping with current Covid -19 regulations.
  • Maintaining the presentation of the Café so that customers enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment;
    • All areas clean and tidy,
    • All food products are attractively displayed,
    • Point of sale correctly presented,
    • Understanding the menus, allergens and products sold in the cafes,
    • Maintaining general cleaning standards, follow cleaning schedules.
  • To be aware of all Catering Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as may, from time to time, be required.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and company policies.
