Welcome to CairnGorm Mountain!
There's lots for you to explore here at Cairngorm Mountain and you'll find more information on the tabs on this home page.  Highlights  to consider are: a trip on the UK's highest railway, a guided walk at the top, a leisurely walk on the mountain footpath network, a stroll around the mountain garden, a birds eye view from the Camera Obscura and an exhibition of photographs taken by staff last winter.

The Ptarmigan restaurant and the Cas Bar are great places to enjoy lunch or a light bite tempting you with home made soups and tasty baking - all freshly prepared on site. Our Guided summer walks programme and special events can be found in our events list section. No matter  what the weather, CairnGorm Mountain offers you a breath of fresh air.....

Guided Walks @ The Top
Our Walks @ The Top are proving to be a huge success with our visiters to CairnGorm who are giving us great feedback.  Until the end of October, our local guides will be leading groups of 10 visitors on 90 minute walks out from the Top Station on a circular tour to the summit of Cairn Gorm.  For more information - Click Here!

November shutdown
The funicular will not operate for the public on Mon 1st, Tue 2nd or Wed 3rd November while essential maintenance work is carried out. The Ptarmigan building will also be closed to the public on those days.

The Cas Bar, T-bar and Camera Obscura will remain open on those days as will the ticket office for the collection of season tickets. The Base Station toilets will also be open.
Much of the funicular annual maintenance which normally takes place in the November shutdown period was brought forward to June and was completed on evening shifts using our long summer hours of daylight and this has reduced the number of shutdown days this year.
