The Cas Bar and the Ptarmigan Restaurant at CairnGorm Mountain

The Cas Bar (Live Wireless Access Available) 
Located in the Day Lodge at CairnGorm Mountain, the Cas Bar is open daily throughout the year (except Christmas Day). Children, climbers, walkers, skiers, sightseers are all welcome.  On chilly days you will find a real log fire burning in this cosy, wood-panelled licensed bar where you can enjoy hot drinks including our famous hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Mulled wine, latte, cappuccino and home baking  are all  specialities and a light menu including hot snacks and sandwiches is available every day. Opening times vary depending on the time of year and day light hours and the following is a guide: Winter 9am - 4.30pm, Summer 10am - 5pm

The Ptarmigan Restaurant (1097m) 
Is the highest restaurant in the United Kingdom at 1097m above sea level. Open daily for visitors, the panoramic windows in the Ptarmigan offer spectacular views of the area and the mountain weather. Here you can enjoy locally sourced produce from our daily menu (see sample menu in the download box on the RHS of this page). Home made soups, baking, scones, cappucino and the famous CairnGorm Hot Chocolate are all available. Sample a Speyside malt or a Cairngorm Ale in the Ptarmigan Bar. Children's menu is also available.  Opening times vary depending on the time of year and day light hours and the following is a guide: Winter 9am - 4.20pm, Summer 10am - 5pm

If you are planning a special occasion the Ptarmigan Restaurant is available for private hire. It is a truly unique venue for special events, anniversaries, weddings or product launches and receptions. Our dedicated events team is ready to help you with all the detail.
